Ron started in the tech industry in 1997 at the age of 16 working for Verio (then known as Highway Technogies) one of the leading web hosting companies in the world, as a system administrator.
Before his 18th birthday he had achieved MCSE, MCDBA, and MCP+i certifications and was working as a full time system administrator for Motorola in their top tier Enterprise Computing group managing an installation of over 5000 computers.
While attending Florida Atlantic University, he founded Techies911 dedicated to onsite network repair services. During this time he designed and built an early Market Research & Report Generation Tool utilizing optimization algorithms.
After graduating from Florida Atlantic University with a BS dual major in Computer Science and Mathematics and a specialization in statistics, he went to work at Quantweb Inc. (now called High Conversions, Inc.) where he developed a multi-variant optimization engine based on genetic algorithms for the purpose of optimizing customer conversion rates from online traffic. His genetic algorithm approach to optimization proved to be superior to more conventional approaches in (a) generating better optimization with less data, (b) end user operational simplicity, and (c) quicker, cheaper and simpler maintenance requirements.
In 2004 he left Quantweb Inc. to found Expert Database Solutions. Products he has worked on at Expert Database Solutions include a highly customizable shopping cart and an emailing system architected for easy implementation of sophisticated results based optimization optimization techniques. He is also working on the early design stages of on online results optimizer using genetic optimization algorithms that reduce complexity and maintenance costs associated with traditional A/B and Multivariant online results optimization systems
